Drawings & Paintings
Where Kim Gromoll previously explored the perfection of natural laws in the outer world, she now begins to express the subtle landscapes within. Her drawings and paintings are guided by intuition and what she calls the higher mind— connected to the body through the heart, it’s an inner compass rooted in feeling, intuition, and soul. While science often locates thought in the brain, many philosophies and emerging research suggest that consciousness is not confined to it, but rather uses the body and brain as an interface—bringing new waves of creation into form as lived experience. The body acts as a receiver, tuning into an infinite field of frequencies. Our senses, emotions, thoughts, and beliefs filter and shape what we experience as “personal reality.”
Art can thus be seen as a carrier of subconscious codes and symbols. Though always influenced by the artist as the channel, it also draws from a wider field—one that helps us remember our place within creation, and our role as creators of all that is (even if most of it remains subconscious to us).
Kim’s paintings and drawings serve as messages from a larger part of self to the idea of herself as a person. While they helped her soften into a faster, more fluid perception—not through the thinking mind but by unlocking forgotten senses, these artworks, as fragments of lived experience, still act as subconscious keys for anyone who feels drawn to them.
